Cookie Policy

What this website stores in your browser and how you can change your choice.

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Here starvoix explains which entries starvoix.net may leave on your device, what each kind is for, how an answer to the cookie notice is kept and how you can change it at any time.

1. About cookies and browser storage

A cookie is a short text file that the site you are visiting places in your browser; it lets the site remember a setting or a decision you have made. Browsers provide similar mechanisms, in particular local storage, which keeps small entries until they are removed. This policy treats them in the same way.

2. Categories used on this website

starvoix.net presents information and contact details; it has no user accounts and no online shop, so very few entries are needed. Strictly necessary entries keep the pages working and secure, including any value that records your answer to a cookie notice, and they do not require consent.

One of these entries is a cookie set by the server that delivers the pages. It holds a random identifier, no name or contact details, and lets the server recognise a browser that comes back, so that one visit is handled as one and automated misuse can be turned away. It is renewed with each visit and expires 30 days after the last one.

3. Advertising, tracking and personal data

There are no advertising or retargeting cookies here and no tracking across websites, and we do not build profiles of visitors. Entries that can be connected to a person count as personal data; the privacy policy of starvoix sets out why they are used, how long they are kept and what your rights are.

4. Consent and the cookie notice

Where this website shows a cookie notice, it appears on the first visit with one button to accept and one to decline. Your answer is then kept as a single value in the local storage of that browser (localStorage), and the notice sets no cookie of its own. In another browser, on another device or where storage is blocked, it is shown again.

5. Storage periods

Some entries exist only while the browser window is open; others are given a defined lifetime so that a preference survives until the next visit. An answer recorded by a cookie notice is not set to expire and remains until you delete it or your browser clears it.

6. Withdrawing your consent and deleting cookies

You can withdraw an earlier consent at any time, just as easily as you gave it: delete the data this website has stored in your browser and open a page again, and the saved answer is gone. Every common browser also has settings for cookies and site data, where stored entries can be viewed and removed.

7. Cookies set by other providers

We do not embed services from other providers that would set cookies of their own. If a map, a video or a comparable element were added later, its provider could place entries on your device as soon as it loads, and this policy would be updated before such content goes live.

8. Changes and contact

We review this policy when the website changes, when functions are added and when legal requirements develop; only the version published here applies, and the date above shows when it was last revised. Questions about it can be sent to starvoix at hello@starvoix.net, or asked by telephone on 01452 380417.
