starvoix wants starvoix.net to be usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who rely on assistive technology. This statement describes the measures taken, the limitations we are aware of and how to reach us.

Our commitment

Accessibility is treated as part of building and maintaining this website, not as a separate project. Whenever a page is added or the design is changed, we check that the content can still be read with a screen reader, operated with a keyboard and enlarged in the browser. This statement covers the pages published under starvoix.net.

Information in another form

This website is not the only way of obtaining information from starvoix. You can telephone us on 01452 380417 during normal business hours, write to hello@starvoix.net or send a letter to 14 Southgate Works, Gloucester GL1 2DL. Where a page is not accessible to you, we will read the information out by telephone or supply it in plain text form.

Conformance

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We describe the site as partially conformant, because some pages or elements still fall short of individual success criteria. Pages are reviewed regularly and problems are corrected as they are found; until then the same information is offered in another form.

Reporting a barrier

If you encounter a barrier on this website, or cannot obtain information that you require, please inform us by email at hello@starvoix.net or by telephone on 01452 380417. It helps if you identify the page, describe what happened and mention the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within five working days.

Known limitations

A number of illustrations are generic, and their alternative text names the subject instead of describing it in detail.

What we do

The website uses semantic HTML with a clear heading structure, one main heading per page and link texts that make sense on their own. Navigation and main content are marked as separate regions, each page states its language for screen readers, and images that carry information have text alternatives.

Text and background colours are combined to reach a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 for body copy, links and buttons. Because sizes are given in relative units, zooming or increasing the browser font size does not disturb the layout. The website can be operated with a keyboard alone.

Preparation of this statement

The present statement was prepared on 26 October 2026 on the basis of our own internal assessment. We inspected the principal page types with a keyboard, at an increased zoom setting and with a screen reader; no external audit was commissioned. The statement is reviewed once a year and after any substantial change to the website.
